As you all know, the choir finally arrived back at Christ Church today after a long, but not too painful hop across the pond. We all made it back in one piece (thankfully) and are very happy to have been reunited with all our families and friends. Due to the lack of wi-fi signal in Epping Forest, I was sadly unable to have any more of the choir members post about what they have been getting up to over the past few days.
We all enjoyed the three nights we spent in Gilwell Park, especially since we all had ensuite bathrooms. After our last service in Westminster Abbey (which was a wonderful experience, to say the least), we spent a full day celebrating all of our choral achievements by visiting Cambridge University, where we got to see King’s and St. John’s Colleges. The choir members thoroughly enjoyed walking around the historic grounds as well as the punting trip that ensued after lunch and shopping.
On the final night, we got packed up and ate dinner just in time to prepare for the long-lasting tradition of skit night; it was a blast. Each and every skit brought thunderous laughter to the room and was accompanied by smooth transitions from our comedic MCs: Mitch, Will, Eli, Ian, and Harry. I don’t know about anyone else, but it was definitely the best skit night I’ve ever had the honor of attending.
I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say that this tour has been a huge success. Not only have we created some very special and glorious music, but we have grown together and made some great memories that will not be fading anytime soon. I hope you are all getting plenty of sleep tonight, but for now, enjoy the final photos from the tour that span over the last few days.
