eare all told that the holy spirit is within all of us, and I know that to be true. I just needed to make the decision to nurture that connection with God. I made that decision because of Christ Church.
– Stella Maybury, 2012
Being good stewards of the Church’s resources means sound management of both the financial and physical resources of the church. With several years of a balanced budget, successful and transparent management of the endowment, fee enhancement from rental income of the facilities and a lean and efficient staff, Christ Church Greenwich is steadfast in managing its resources responsibly. Your generosity to the Church can be accompanied by a confident understanding that your gift will be well managed.
As you consider your pledge, please know that your annual gift is of primary importance. It provides the funding for the church’s daily operations – it “keeps the doors open and the lights on.” Maintaining your commitment to the ongoing mission and ministries of the church builds disciples for Christ today. Becoming part of the vision for strengthening and advancing those ministries by increasing your commitment equips Christ Church Greenwich to build disciples for the future.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness to what your personal stewardship means to your spiritual life and to the life of our parish!
Consecration Sunday is Coming… a time to express our gratitude for this community of faith
The Consecration Sunday Stewardship Program teaches the biblical and spiritual principles of generous giving. It is based on the biblical philosophy of the need of the giver to give for his, or her, own spiritual development. Jesus summed up the spiritual connection between money and God this way: Where your treasure is, there your heart will also be. (Luke 12:34)
On Sunday, October 19, we will be given the opportunity to make our annual pledge to Christ Church Greenwich during each service. It is a gracious time as people generously lay their pledge cards in the font, confirming their commitment to their faith and this Church. It is a confidential act of worship, followed by a Celebration Brunch in the Parish Hall following the 9:15 am service. Additionally, beginning on September 28, parishioners will be giving personal testimonials about what the Church means in their lives.
Please take some time in the weeks to come to consider what this parish means to you.
