Misfortune & the Goodness of God

Sundays (begins September 23)
6:30 – 8:00 pm
Tomes-Higgins House
led by The Rev’d Andrew Kryzak

This fall’s Sunday evening Bible study will focus on the Old Testament books of Job and Jonah, and the apocryphal book of Judith. The unavoidable questions of the meaning of suffering, of the goodness of God, and of the Christian hope will all be discussed. As always a rigorous look at the text itself will be paired with a wide-ranging conversation about the consolations of faith in the present day. All are invited and encouraged to bring their own Bible (although extra Bibles are always available).
