That nothing will be the same after the coronavirus pandemic dawns upon us gradually. Walking into so utterly new a reality must be a walk in the dark.
Let’s look into the unknowable future by considering what we know about the past, for this is not the first time the world has changed suddenly. How did people of the past handle it? Think of the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. The Black Death. The American Civil War. The First World War. Each of these changed the people who lived through it and those who came after. How did their faith sustain them? And how can our faith sustain us?
The Rev. Barbara Crafton, retired Episcopal priest, noted author, and retreat leader, will lead this session.
