Andrew Kryzak is joining our Clergy Team as Curate

We are pleased to welcome Andrew Astwood Kryzak as Curate following his graduation from Berkeley Divinity School, where he earned the Master of Divinity from Yale and a diploma in Anglican studies from Berkeley. He will be ordained deacon on August 25, 2018, and will be ordained priest in 2019 by the Bishop of Rhode Island. During divinity school, he spent two years at Christ Church Greenwich as seminarian and intern, and he is delighted to join the staff of the parish.

Andrew was born in 1983 and raised in the Episcopal Church, the eleventh generation of his family to worship in the New World according to the Book of Common Prayer. A native New Yorker, he grew up in Dutchess County, was prepared at Hotchkiss, and was educated at Duke and Columbia. Prior to divinity school, he worked for the New-York Historical Society and for the law firm of Davis, Polk & Wardwell.

Andrew will be joined at Christ Church by his fiancée, Hannah Peckham. Hannah also attended Duke and has an MA from Yale. This fall, she will begin coursework for the PhD in American history at Notre Dame, and will be dividing her time between Greenwich and South Bend. An October 2018 wedding is planned.

Andrew’s academic and personal interests include Western history; sacred music; Classical and Gothic architecture; detective fiction; railroads; and the city of New York. He is an avid and longtime tennis player and sailor and enjoys reading, writing, and long walks.
