We all had a great first day at choir camp! Once we finally arrived at beautiful Camp DeWolfe after the long bus ride, we gathered for a great lunch of sausage and mac n cheese in the main dining area prepared by the fabulous chef Alex! We also had a quick orientation where we learned all about the camp.
The coolest part of the day was definitely our solar eclipse party. We trekked down to the beach and watched the eclipse through the sun-safe glasses. It was super cool knowing that we were able to enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience (thanks Charlotte!). After the eclipse, we went outside to run around and make tie-dye shirts.

Some of us had voice trials during this time which seemed scary at first, but we soon realized that we had nothing to worry about! They were actually really fun and we got to sing for Mr. Brayne and Ms. Critz for the first time.
Meanwhile outside, Sienna, Scarlett, and Tessa had a great game of tether ball against Bee, Hannah, Gianna, and Caroline, while the rest of us played ga ga ball and card games.
Our evening ended with a yummy dinner of chicken, potatoes, and veggies, and a compline service lead by Andrew. Our first day at choir camp was tons of fun and we can’t wait for the exciting week ahead!
