Brown Bag Bible Study

Tuesdays *
led by the Rev’d MaREK ZABRISKIE
*October 1-29, NOVEMBER 19&26

Our rector loves to lead Bible studies and introduce people to Luke, his favorite evangelist. The Gospel of Luke was also Rembrandt’s favorite, because its imagery is so powerful. Luke tells vivid stories of Jesus’ interaction with an array of people, men and women, rich and poor, the sick, those living on the margins, and vilified people, like tax collectors and Samaritans.

Luke, who was said to have been a physician, uses specific medical terminology. As a result, he captures Jesus’ sensitivity and compassion for the sick and for those who care for them. He recounts more healing miracles than any other evangelist.

We will gather at noon to enjoy our brown bag lunches, then spend an hour reading and discussing the assigned Bible passages. The reading assignments and questions will be emailed in advance to help participants prepare for each class.

Space is limited.

If you can commit to attending at least three sessions, please RSVP TO JEAN TREDINNICK.

Please let us know exactly which dates that you can commit to attending. The more that you can attend, the more rewarding the experience and the stronger our group will be. No previous Bible knowledge or study is required. All are welcome!
