This morning started out the same as every other morning. We woke up, had breakfast, and walked to the cathedral. After a very productive rehearsal, we walked out to the college green where the town was hosting Bristol Sports Day. There were many activities that the choristers tried such as tai chi, yoga and soccer. It was funny to see Katie H., Susie, and Will M. trying tai chi in the middle of the green. They were very determined to get it right.
After checking out the sports day, we headed into town for more shopping. Both Alice and I decided that we wanted Bristol University sweatshirts. After taking a ten-minute walk into the college campus, we learned that the store is closed on weekends. We were very disappointed, but we got to have delicious crêpes instead. We soon had to go back to the cathedral for an early evensong at 3:30. We rehearsed, had our tea, and had a very successful service.
To finish off our afternoon, we all headed to Cabot Circus (a large shopping mall) for shopping and mini golf. We went with Susie and Katie H. to many stores, but the best one was Primark, where we all bought lots of clothing and accessories for a great price.
Finally, we enjoyed an American dinner of burgers, fries, and apple crisp. It was a great day and we are all excited for tomorrow’s services! We can’t believe we’ve already been in Bristol for a week.
