Coronavirus Update

March 13, 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation very closely, consulting regularly with the Bishops Diocesan, and attending to the advice of local and state authorities.  Our first priority is the health and safety of our community, especially those most vulnerable.

Read A pastoral letter from our Bishops here:

At this time, based on the consensus advice of healthcare experts, we need to join many other local institutions and cancel communal gatherings at Christ Church Greenwich for a period of time.  All worship services and all programs and services* at Christ Church Greenwich will be cancelled at least through March 27.

*During our campus closure, Neighbor to Neighbor‘s food pantry distribution services will remain open. For more information, visit

Christ Church leadership will continue to follow developments and will provide further updates in the coming days.

During this uncertain season:

  • We will not cease bringing the Gospel and pastoral care to parishioners and the community in novel and appropriate ways.
  • We will discover new ways to be the Church—to worship, learn, and care for one another as a community.
  • We will learn new ways to pray, both in solitude and perhaps together in “virtual” communion.
  • We will search for those in need and tend to their needs.  Please let us know if you, or anyone you know, needs food, prayer, or pastoral care.

During this time, we invite you to Stay Spiritually Engaged from Home.

And, when this season shall pass—and it shall pass—we pray that God will renew us and our community with faith, hope, and love.  God bless you and keep you all.

Ken Halcom, Junior Warden
