Christ Church Greenwich

Christ Church Greenwich has a membership of over 1,600 and has an average Sunday attendance of 367 across three services. It has a staff of 18, including four full-time priests (including the new Associate Rector) and one part-time priest associate. Our church campus extends over 14 acres and 100,000 square feet of buildings. We have wonderful spaces for worship, hospitality and programming and a stunning, recently renovated sanctuary.

Our liturgical style is formal, reverent and firmly grounded in the Anglican tradition. Christ Church Music is a renowned world-class RSCM-certified church music program. A model of the Anglican choral tradition with a rich history and global reach, we offer eight active choirs, concerts, tours, and a vibrant teen scholar program. Christ Church is also the home of a Christ Church Nursery School (CCNS), an Episcopal Preschool accredited by the National Association of Episcopal Schools. Founded in 1960, CCNS has a student population over 100 and a staff of 18. Youth has been a recent area of focus and expansion; the church has one full-time and one part-time youth minister and a full-time Children’s Ministry priest.

Worship attendance is increasing and the growth in attendance at the Evensong service has provided the backdrop for a willingness to consider a new worship schedule when the current pandemic permits.

The church’s outreach program has been growing over the last five years and continues to do so; it has deepened relationships with nonprofits in the local area and its volunteers currently help in food provision, service to the homeless, vulnerable youth and families. It has recently established a companion relationship with an Episcopal church in Cuba and is exploring expanding its local reach to prison ministry and vulnerable seniors. We continue to nurture a relationship with the Endupoto School founded in the Diocese of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania over 30 years ago. We organize parish visits to the K-12 school every other year. Twelve AA meetings a week are typically held on campus, and the church provides facilities for the largest food pantry and clothing ministry in Greenwich on our campus.
