Why are Matthew, Mark, and Luke so similar and yet so different? And why is John such an outlier? And why do footnotes in the New Testament sometimes read “other ancient authorities say….”? This presentation will address both the relationship between the gospels and the work of textual criticism. Dr. Yii-Jan Lin, Assistant Professor of New Testament at the Yale Divinity School, will present and guide our discussion.
