Chuck Morrell is an honorably discharged U.S. Navy veteran. He served from 1979-1983 active duty aboard the U.S.S. Bainbridge which was a nuclear powered cruiser stationed in San Diego, CA. Chuck’s Rate & Rank was 2nd Class Quartermaster specializing in Navigation, and as a Master Helmsman. He made two West-Pacs, deploying overseas, where the Bainbridge was the first ship on station in the Gulf of Oman at the start of the Iranian crisis.
After being honorably discharged, Chuck worked for Stamford Insulation. He also worked for Feda Drywall, where he learned the art of taping and specialized in drywall finishing.
Chuck joined the staff of Christ Church Greenwich in 1987 as a Sexton, and was appointed Head Sexton in 1990. He has lived in Greenwich for most of his life, and was very active in the town baseball leagues growing up. Chuck graduated from Greenwich High School in 1976.
