Lauren grew up in Monroe, CT and has been a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church where she was baptized and confirmed. In addition, she served as an acolyte and worked with their outreach programs. Lauren graduated from Keene State College where she studied Communications and Sociology. In 2012, she received her Master’s Degree in Education at Sacred Heart University. After completing her studies, Lauren worked as a second-grade teacher in Thailand. Her passion for traveling and working with youth blossomed during this time. She has since gone to Brazil, Belize, and Nepal on mission trips. For the last three years, Lauren has worked as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor at Sacred Heart University where she guided high school seniors through the college process. During this time, she also coached the women’s club lacrosse team and taught a freshman seminar program to incoming students. Being a mentor and connecting with youth has always come naturally to her.
