An organist with a strong interest in 20th Century American music, Elizabeth received her Ph.D. in musicology from the University of Maryland, where she taught courses in the history of rock and roll. Elizabeth continues to co-lead the contemplative study group at St. John’s Church in Larchmont, where she served as president for the Episcopal Churchwomen group. Elizabeth served on the board of trustees for the Stanwich School, and chaired the Advisory Committee of Woodberry Forest School in Virginia with her husband, Nelson. Elizabeth received her B.A. from Rhodes College in Philosophy and Music, and M.M. from Southern Methodist University in music history and organ performance. Elizabeth and Nelson have two daughters, ages 13 and 10, that sing in the St. Cecilia Choir of Girls.
