The film Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North uncovers the vast extent of Northern complicity in slavery, contrary to widespread amnesia about that role. This story explores the extensive role played by one Rhode Island based family in the trading of human cargo.

The 90-minute documentary film will be followed by a Q&A session led by our Rector, Marek Zabriskie and ECCT’s Racial Justice Resource Coordinator, Kelli R. Gibson.
