The Harrison & Harrison Organ

The Christ Church Organ was installed in 2022 by the firm of Harrison & Harrison of Durham, England, after an exhaustive search and fundraising campaign that began in 2013.  This landmark instrument is built in the English Cathedral tradition, and is the company’s largest organ in the United States, and their largest new organ since 1962.  Its design is focused on our liturgical traditions and the acoustics of the church, and it has high levels of flexibility and color, alongside supportive foundation tone for choral and congregational singing, and can play all organ repertory effectively.  The opening recital was given by James O’Donnell, Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey, and it was dedicated by the Bishop Diocesan, The Rt. Rev. Jeffery Mello.
