Benefits of Planned Giving/Arbor Society of Christ Church Greenwich
As we age, we begin to contemplate what our legacy will be regarding our lives and time on this earth. While careers, volunteering, military service, friendships and the like can take many years to establish, a little thought and advanced planning can be an important component of our legacy. After providing for ourselves, our loved ones, our pets…we can help make sure our favorite organizations can continue well into the future. An orderly transfer of assets, a reduction of estate or other taxes and a general peace of mind can all be accomplished by creating an estate plan and providing for the important people and charities in our lives.
The Arbor Society of Christ Church Greenwich was started over 25 years ago to honor those who have decided to leave some portion of their worldly assets to Christ Church through a will or estate plan. For many of us, Christ Church is the center of our spiritual lives and not just a beautiful and sacred place of worship; it is home to a lifetime of milestones from baptism, confirmation, marriage, Christmas and Easter services with the entire family…in addition to memorial services for loved ones, and eventually even our own.
Of course, some may wish that their plan to give (or the gifts themselves) remain anonymous, which is very easy accomplish.
