Jane Erbe, OTR/L, SIPT Cert.

If you're someone who has kids, knows kids, or was a kid, this will be an eye-opening introduction into how your behaviors are shaped by your seven (yes, 7) sensory systems.  Learn how our behaviors are rooted in what our body feels and interprets from the world around it, and how these behaviors can shape our success in adulthood.  Join Jane Erbe in an hour-long ‘ah-ha’ moment, discovering new things about your body, your self, and your behaviors, which may change the way you parent or help others parent.

Jane Erbe is the owner and operator of S.M.A.R.T. Pediatrics, a therapy clinic in Stamford, CT.
Her therapists provide occupational, physical, and speech therapy to children from infancy to
their teenage years. They help children and their families lead more enjoyable and successful
lives. They address a wide range of issues, including things like learning to write, mastering potty training, improve their self-regulation skills for better behaviors, and even things like learning to ride a bike.

Jane’s passionate about educating the community about sensory processing since this is the
key to understanding children. It is the foundation that every skill a child needs in order to be successful, both at school and at home, is built upon. Yet almost no one is aware that this process is going on within themselves, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of their lives. Jane is here today to help us better understand the body, our own as well as our children’s. This education will help us parent with greater understanding, patience, and hopefully with greater ease. Which in the end is what we all hope to do.
